My baking journey began as a young child, watching my mother create beautiful desserts to share with family and friends. Those moments planted a seed in my heart that continued to grow through every season of my life. As a young adult, I found inspiration in watching other bakers on TV, and when I got my own place, I couldn’t wait to start baking. I even bought my very first cupcake pan just to begin. Over the years, as I stepped into motherhood, my passion deepened.

I began baking for family birthdays, special gatherings, and even a cousin’s wedding. That’s when I realized this was more than just a hobby; it was a gift God placed in my hands, and something I wanted to continue growing and perfecting.

I recently attended a baking convention in Los Angeles, and it felt like such a full-circle moment for me. I got to connect with incredibly talented chefs, bakers, and leaders from well-known baking brands. I left feeling so inspired and reminded of why I started The Bake Shop in the first place, to keep growing, creating, and trusting the dream I’ve been building. It also took me right back to one of my very first milestones… when I made a tiered wedding cake for my cousin. I still remember how nervous I was, but also how much I loved being part of something so meaningful.

These days, I bring that same heart into everything I make from my cottage bakery kitchen. I love staying connected to my community, not just through baking but also by serving on the Visalia Chamber of Commerce board, which allows me to support local businesses and stay involved in what’s happening around me.

I bake with gluten and wheat flour in my kitchen; however, ingredients are kept separate, surfaces and utensils are carefully cleaned, and gluten-friendly items are typically prepared at separate times (often on different days) to help reduce the risk of cross-contact.

I believe the best desserts start with organic ingredients and a focus on beautiful details. I love baking with fresh, seasonal fruit, especially locally grown berries and citrus, and creating flavor combinations that feel both nostalgic and fresh. Some of my personal favorites to make (and enjoy) are maple-pecan and vanilla-lavender cupcakes, along with brown-butter pecan chocolate-chip cookies.

My designs are inspired by classic and vintage styles with a modern touch, often finished with a delicate buttercream palette, painting, and soft floral elements that make each dessert feel like part of the celebration. From customer-favorite salted chocolate chunk cookies and sugar cookies to my signature elegant cakes inspired by fashion, color palettes, and event themes, every bake I create is meant to feel special, timeless, and joy-filled.
